Ezenwankwo empowers constituents

1000 persons get grants
Distributes 1,500 bags of rice, six shuttle buses, 30 tricycle, 80 bikes, others to constituents

Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo, member representing Orumba Noth and South in the House of Representatives, has put smiles on the faces of his constituents with cash grants, gifts of rice, shuttle buses, tricycles and other items.

Ezenwankwo said the event was a double : the Annual Ezenwankwo Foundation and Constituency Empowerment.
The legislator said he has been in the House for only two and half years but has out performed those who stayed for eight years.

He also said that for the past 15 years, even before he joined politics, he has been involved in the Ezenwankwo Foundation through which he empowered his people every year.

Ezenwankwo said he has projects in 31 communities in Orumba North and South, which about 80 percent of it have been completed, saying that he wants to show the people what effective representation is.

He said some of the communities have two projects, some three, while some have between six and seven projects.

He said they have done a lot for individuals, communities even churches through his foundation, stating that they had also built administrative block at the Basilica of Most Holy Trinity.
Some of the items distributed were six shuttle buses, 30 tricycles, 80 motorbikes, fridge, deep freezers, sewing machines, gas cylinders, hair driers, about 1, 500 bags of rice among other items.

Ezenwankwo said there are ongoing projects in some communities, while work will start in others very soon.

The high point of the programme was giving of individual grants to about 1,000 people, which is apart from groups that received grants but he did not mention the amount.
